We source all our haddock from the ports of Peterhead and Aberdeen where the fish are landed and sent to the same filleting house that has been supplying us for the last 14 years. They are carefully hand filleted, boxed and transported in refrigerated lorries, arriving at our door as fresh as possible.
Our potatoes are bought from local suppliers who deliver on a regular basis, ensuring we get the best quality available. We use different varieties such as; Maris Piper, Agria, Markies… all of which produce a chip that remains the best in the market. As well as our chips, we also sell large baked potatoes that have been sourced locally for their size and quality.
The meat we use is from our local butcher, the award winning Pollock Williamson who have supplied us our stew for our famous steak pie for well over a decade. They also supply us with their black pudding, haggis and mince for our home made beef burgers.
Ice cream has always been a big seller here at Forehill Café, and again we use a well known local supplier Renaldo's who are a favourite in Ayrshire. We have recently added a small twenty flavour ice cream cabinet which has proven a very popular addition. As well as the old favourites, we also sell milk shakes, ice cream sodas, and our renowned Jubilees.
