Ayr's Finest Traditional Fish & Chip Shop

Award Nomination: We're delighted to announce that we are a finalist in the 2017 Independent Takeaway Fish and Chip Shop of the Year Award.

Forehill Café is a long established traditional fish and chip shop in Ayr. We're a family-run business with a reputation for quality food and a fast friendly service.

Something for everyone…

While we specialise in fresh haddock and freshly prepared pizza, we have also built a reputation for our Home Made Steak Pies and Macaroni Cheese. With a range that includes our own 6oz burgers, nutritious baked potatoes, and a selection of other family favourites our menu has something for everyone, whether you're looking for lunch, dinner or dessert. We've even got a dedicated Kid's Menu for the little ones, and a twenty flavour ice cream cabinet (featuring Renaldo's Famous Ices — another Ayrshire favourite) that's a treat for all ages.

Freshly prepared, quality produce…

Our aim has always been to give our customers freshly prepared food as quickly as possible. As such the quality of our raw produce is of paramount importance. Our fresh haddock is delivered directly from the filleting houses of Aberdeen, and sourced from sustainable fishing in cold northern waters. Our meat for our steak pie and burgers comes from a local butcher, Pollock Williamson who has supplied us faithfully for well over a decade.

A local family-run business…

My name is Stephen Conetta and along with my wife Carolina we have the business for the last 15 years ably supported by Eddi and his team. We all look forward to welcoming you to Forehill Café very soon.

Did you know?

A fish supper has the least amount of fat per 100g than all other takeaway food. In fact, an average fish supper has only 595 calories. Compare that to a donner kebab which has 942 calories or burger and fries which has 888 calories and you can easily see why fish and chips are still so popular!
